developed by Apple Computer, Inc. which includes a format that allows the
viewing of digital movies. QuickTime is well supported on both Mac's and
PC's, with plug-ins available for Web Browsers and stand alone viewing

Unix
The Xanim software can be used to
view QuickTime files on machines running UNIX (or a UNIX derivative), it can also
run on VAX VMS machines and has even been compiled and executed on
machines running DOS with the proper X11 library support. You can acquire

SGI's
On IRIX 5.1 and above, you can display QuickTime movies with the bundled SGI movieplayer. On IRIX 5.3 and above the Digital
Media Tools product is available
